What Organization Should Focus on

A. It is action-oriented principle. To answer with the organizational goals, the effective human resource management focuses on action rather than on record-keeping, written procedure or rules. Although it uses rules, policies or records, it certainly stresses on action that is put into practice from top to bottom and vice versus. It emphasizes the solution of employment problems to help achieve organizational objectives and facilitate employees’ development and satisfaction, and it is related to performance evaluation, compensation, labor relation….). For example, Thai Airline Co., Ltd. is famous not only in Asia but also in Europe for being convenient in both service and environment that is why it is awarded such as Grand Travel Award in 2005 and Wanderlust Travel Awards. The company sets up the rules, policies or procedures, yet it mainly weighs on the action. The action implemented by the employees in this company complies with its desired goals, and the individual performance is evaluated. Then compensation, welfare or other benefits are provided.
            B. It is people-oriented principle. Human resource management treats employees as an individual and offers services and programs to meet the individual’s needs. It is relevant to equal employment, job analysis, human resource planning, recruitment, selection, motivation, training and development, and orientation. Each step needs to be carefully done, and it has to go along with the organizational requirements by comparing with the mission, policies, goals and the strategies. Then the balance scorecard is used to evaluate whether the results fit with business scorecard of the organization or not. It could be started from learning and growth including high competency, capacity or core competency to internal business process such as creativity, innovation, and productivity to customers’ satisfaction, and then to financial profits. For example, Thai Carbon Black Co., Ltd (TCB) is the top leading manufacture of carbon black in Asia, and it dose not only marketize in local but also in international. It is accredited many awards such Total Quality Management (TQM) and ISO. The company puts much effort on knowledge-based management, quality control from Edwards Deming and customers oriented. Learning organization, knowledge management, quality control, teamwork, participation, time management are firmly strengthened to every employee, and customers’ satisfaction such as value, service, and quality are also fundamentally considered. Moreover, the company has it own standard system to evaluate the individual performance so that it is easy to promote, provide more benefits to the staff or to see whether it reach the company’s goals or not.
C. It is global-oriented principle. Human resource management is a globally oriented function or activity, and it is almost practiced in all over the world especially the developed countries. The organization should in advance study educational, behavioral, legal-political and economic factors for managerial success if it aims at extending the business abroad. Furthermore, the organization also considers of diversity management, and information management system, or else it will be hard for the organization to compete with the others. Put these into practice with the employees by training or educating, they will push the organization forward. For example, For example, GE Company is almost worldwide operated. Jack Welch, who is a CEO of that Company, prepares human resource planning by concentrating on the balance between demand and supply, the study of educational, behavioral, legal-political and economic factors in where it will operate so that it can be internationalized, and smoothly run.
            D. It is future-oriented principle. The effective of human resource management is concerned with helping an organization achieve its objectives in the future by providing competent and well-motivated employees. Thus, human resources need to be incorporated into an organization’s long term strategic plans. It is altogether concerned with change agent, dynamic competency, core competency, intellectual capital, learning organization, knowledge management, and knowledge-based approach. These are crucial factors that the organization should pay attention to, and implement so that it can before hand organize and answer the changes and requirements of future. For instance, Wal- Mart Company becomes worldwide famous because of its best way of transaction. It is operated in more than 175 countries, and it still has great ambition to extend its company. The company has its own future-oriented in its vision that what human capital should improve, what knowledge should manage, what strategy should use to compete and what learning organization should be conducted. 
            E. It is ten Cs-oriented principle. It is a systematic designed for human resource management in business context. It will help the organization achieve what is required if the organization exponentially implement, control and evaluate each step. Comprehensiveness is included all aspects of people management, credibility is related to staff trust all top management and believe in their strategies, communication is that objectives must be understood, accepted by all employees and open culture with no barriers, control is that the ensure performance is consistent with business objectives, competency is that it is organizational competency to achieve its objectives depend on individual performance, coherence is concerned with human resource activities and initiatives that form a meaningful whole, creativity is that competitive advantage comes from unique strategies, cost-effectiveness has to be competitive, fair, rewards and promotion system, change focuses on continuous improvement and development essential for survival, and commitment  is employees motivated to achieve organizational goals. For example, Microsoft Company which is run by Bill Get uses this ten Cs-oriented principle to manage its business. The company conducts its vision, mission, goals, policies and strategies and then these are strengthened in every part of the company so that it is now famous and successful.
            F. It is leadership not management- oriented principle. Leadership plays very important role in current business management. It is pertinent to doing the right thing or doing the thing right. Good leadership leads to successful organization, and good leadership must comprise of love, education/experience, adaptability, decisiveness, enthusiasm, responsibility, sacrifice/sincere, harmony, intellectuality, and persuasiveness. For example, Malden Mills was founded in 1906, and it is the manufacturing company that is best known for its high quality surface-finished fabrics, Polarfleece and Polartec. Malden Mills received the workforce Magazine Optimas Award for managing change because of good leadership.
