In order to be promoted to the management level, the following ideas should be consider and put into practice, and these include:
1-Being well-organized to be leaders: It means that we should know what good leader is and how to reach it. Listening to learn, Empathizing with emotions, Attention- paying to aspiration, Diagnosing or Detailing, Engaging for good ends, Responding with respectfulness, and Speaking with specificity are the fundamental factors that we have to learn in advance and put them into practice too.
2-Working in team: Teamwork plays an important role in the organization. It is the chance that every worker learns to know each other, to share the ideas, to make a decision or to be together. We should know what and how we adapt ourselves to this kind of situation. What I need to know is trust, empathy, agreement, mutual benefit, willingness, opportunity, recognition, and knowledge. These will really lead me to be good team member or leader and then manger.
3-Learning organization: It is good that we have to know the changes of society. We have to keep the track of society by learning the new thing such as management, communication or some other things. Learning is the best way that we can push ourselves forward. At the moment, knowledge –based management becomes the touchy point that attracts every organization. We have to improve ourselves with this by taking time to consolidate what we have already had, and learn more what I do not know.
4- Information technology: It is absolutely necessary now. The more we are fluent, the easiest it will be. Instead of taking so long time to communicate with each other or wasting a lot of money, internet or intranet is installed in almost every organization. We ourselves have to be highly qualified with it so that it suits what we are now doing or our future development career.
5-Core competency: This is extremely essential. We have to be aware of the core competency and learn to apply it. Managerial, functional, and technical competency are what we have to learn and to implement. To have a smooth road map of career development, we have to hold these marvelous competencies, and they can be learnt or trained during working or from the books.
6-Rule and regulation: We have to clearly know what we can or can not in term of organization’s or every employee’s discretion. For example, law of equal employment opportunity, law of contract, law of international business, law of discrimination or labor law. To know these will be beneficial for me so that we can avoid making any mistake and they will pave the road for me to go to the top at any day in the future.
7- Dynamic capital: It is good that we have to know the processes to integrate, reconfigure, gain, and release sources to match and even create some changes. This will enhance my work, and it will be one of other ways to be promoted too. Doing the right or doing the thing right is what we have to keep in mind while we are working so that any bad accidental event will not happen.
8-Intellectual capital: It communicates with human capital, social capital, and organizational capital. Theses are very important, and they are necessary to be found, managed, or allocated. Knowing these will be helpful for me, and they will create golden opportunity for us to climb up another step.
9- High performance: To be an efficient worker for any organization or company, we have to try to work hard and be furious to know what is new. We must be a problem child but not a dead wood. We have to improve my performance and change my assignment so that we can keep the track of the situation of working. For instance, we start my work early, but we will leave our work late, or all kinds of work assigned could be done on time and successfully.
10- Culture: Some organizations face this problem because employees hold different backgrounds and cultures, and they work together. Globalization makes the world smaller, and different nationalities will work together in one place. If we work with them, we need to learn or know in advance in order to adapt ourselves to it. For example, if we work for any company in the United States of America, and it is full of different nationalities, we have to understand their cultures, and one day our position can be promoted.
